On all applications using 40:60 mix I add 1 bottle "Clear Water" per 5 liters of coolant to give extra protection against corrosion.

Dec 19, 2008 · I can tell you this, if I had a GM product with Dex-Cool that's under warranty, I'd replace the coolant with conventional green coolant as soon as the warranty was up. You may or may not ever have problems with this stuff. But if/when you do, it can get expensive. It's certainly not worth the risk in my opinion.
