All GM vehicles are pink when brand new, but that can all change after a couple of years anyways. On my 2001 S-10 it has had a coolant leak for the past 3 years, and I have topped it off so many times that it is now pi$$ yellow. I use Prestone 50/50 to top it off, that is what the dealer recommended would be safe with Dexcool.

It's interesting to note the different colors available which mean they are formulated differently. Green-Red-Orange-Purple-Yellow-Blue-Pink-and probably a few others.
